“Rachel is the quiet rock behind the business. Rachel does what it takes. She has horsepower. Rachel is largely responsible for our incredibly high client retention rate and customer satisfaction scores. Without question, Rachel is a huge part of our cultural environment. Often we hear comments about the wonderful experience customers have and that people visiting our office have. It is Rachel’s duck like (calm and cool above the water, paddling like hell beneath) that makes it a great place to work and a great environment for clients to find comfort and value.
Bill Burch Founder, Commercial Resources, Inc.
“Rachel is a great resource for all of the staff here at Commercial Resources. She developed the HR and marketing area of the business. She has been intimately involved in other areas such as accounting and finance and is the “go to” person for staff and clients alike. She has multiple projects going on at the same time but always makes time to meet with staff and clients and give them her full attention. Rachel makes being a part of CRI a joy.”
Julie Franklin CFO, Commercial Resources, Inc.
President, Owner – Commercial Resources, Inc.
Rachel joined CRI after serving in management at one of our “in house” retail businesses. She actually worked for CRI before it was CRI. She watched it grow, helped nurture it from the ground up. Since CRI's founding, Rachel has held the titles of Executive Director, Vice President, and currently is the President and Owner of Commercial Resources, Inc.
Prior to becoming President, Rachel lead many divisions becoming an expert in each area as she moved up. She started with bookkeeping and handling accounts payable and accounts receivable. She moved on to payroll and then human resources. With each step she challenged existing systems and improved them in a very quiet way. Things just seemed to take care of themselves when Rachel worked on them. Part of it could have to do with the fact she beat everyone to work and was often the last one out. Rachel has redefined “doing what it takes”. Just “on time – as promised”.
Rachel holds a BA in Business Administration from the University of Iowa and has since studied accounting, human resources, and web design and management. Rachel received her MBA from Drake University in 2014.
In her spare time, she enjoys “experiencing” life through her young daughter’s eyes. She enjoys seeking adventure through travel and making the world a better place by serving on multiple organization boards.
